Welcome to Week 2
Last week, we learned how to recognize a recurring thought that doesn't align with Scripture…a thought trap. But thoughts rarely show up on their own. They're often sparked by something deeper: an emotion, memory, or circumstance that reactivates them.
This week, we’ll slow down and trace the trigger behind that thought. Because when you identify the why, you gain power to respond in truth, not just in reaction.

Coaching Insight: What’s Beneath the Thought?
Thought traps are usually linked to a trigger: a person, situation, or emotional experience that revives an old fear, belief, or reaction. It might be a tone of voice, a look, a deadline, or even a memory.
When we react without reflection, we empower the trap.
But when we pause to notice what stirred it up, we open space for God to speak into the wound or fear behind it.
Think of awareness as the teacher in the classroom. When a classroom of students “stirred up,” a teacher can bring order. That is what we are doing by noticing or bringing awareness to our thoughts; we are bringing order to our emotions.

Was it a situation, a person, or a feeling?
How did your body respond? How did your emotions escalate?
What truth do you need to remember before the trigger takes over?
